You know, after living in Wyoming full-time for 5 years, I've seen my fair share of things that you're not going to see in a lot of other places. Mountains, wide open spaces, a large amount of wildlife, and some of the greatest scenery in the world.

In most states, you're also not going to see an open casting call for a private rodeo from one of the nation's top rodeo companies. Here in Wyoming, that's not so much of a rarity.

Firstly, it's exciting that a rodeo company that's known for world-class broncs is right in the heart of Wyoming, but sure enough, the Powder River Rodeo LLC company is in Riverton.

They just posted on their social media pages that they're looking for entries for a private rodeo that will run throughout the summer in Wilson, WY, at the Snake River Ranch.

Really, it'll be a pretty sweet rodeo gig.

The performance will only last about an hour and begin at 2:30 pm. That means, that you'll have a chance to head to compete in a nighttime rodeo elsewhere. There are no entry fees, and money is added to each event at every rodeo.

The dates are:

  • June 5
  • June 9
  • June 16
  • July 19

You'll need to be 18 to enter. You can text John at 307-689-2879 with your name, age, event, and where you're from.

When entries fill, you will be placed on an alternate list. Would like to have repeat contestants, you will be able to enter all 4 performances at once. Would also like to have girls who compete in both events.

If you, or someone you know, is interested, they're looking for participants to compete in standard rodeo events:

  • Bareback/ Ranch Broncs
  • Saddle Bronc
  • Bull Riding
  • Barrel Racing
  • Breakaway
