Cheyenne Man Sentenced To Prison For Meth Trafficking
A 37-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a 110-month prison term after pleading guilty to meth charges in March, according to the U.S. Attorney's office for Wyoming.
According to U.S. Attorney spokeswoman Lori Hogan, Jessie Murphy Johnson was sentenced to the prison term plus five years of supervised release to follow by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Kelly Rankin on May 28 in Cheyenne.

That followed a guilty plea by Johnson to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of meth on March 28.
Case Started With A DCI Investigation
According to a new release, the case started with a Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation probe of a Laramie County meth distributor. The investigation revealed that Johnson was trafficking meth from Denver and had supplied over 500 grams of meth to a confidential informant.
The case was investigated by the DCI, federal Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
Johnson was indicted on March 20, 2025.
