I love, love, LOVE the holiday season here in Cheyenne. The city decks itself out in bells and lights, caroling and Christmas songs everywhere, and of course, St. Nick comes to town.

If you're looking to get into the holiday spirit around town, I've got the perfect place for you! Head to our beautiful downtown, now transformed into an Old West Christmas destination.

Old West Holiday Activities in Downtown Cheyenne

Downtown Cheyenne becomes everyone's favorite western Christmas stop when December rolls around. Near the Depot, you'll find Santa's Stables filled with his other galloping steeds - horses - plus a Pony Express drop-off for those Christmas letters to the jolly man himself. A short walk from the Stables, Mrs. Claus is busy prepping delicious cookies at her cookie shop - you'll definitely want to swing in for a sweet treat (or two!) before you visit Santa at the Majestic.

In addition to visiting Santa and his friends, Downtown Cheyenne has several holiday activities planned this year. Here's a small sneak preview of the activities:

Hot Cocoa with Santa

On December 3, you can grab a cup of cocoa with Santa at the Majestic and grab a photo with him while you're at it.

Santa .5K at the Depot

Catch the Running of the Santas at the Depot on December 3. Folks will race in their finest Santa getup to be crowned winner of the .5K.

Christmas Carols

Enjoy Christmas music performed by Carolers downtown on December 17.

Breakfast with Santa at the Omelet House

Enjoy a delicious breakfast with Santa at the Omelet House on December 18. Tickets are required; click here for more info.
