Albany County, Laramie Voters Cast Primary Election Ballots

Voters in Albany County and the City of Laramie went to the polls on Tuesday to cast ballots in the 2026 Wyoming Primary Election.

Polls across the state were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Statewide races included primary elections for governor, with incumbent Republican Mark Gordon leaving office after two terms. In the U.S. Senate, incumbent Republican Cynthia Lummis is leaving office. Wyoming's U.S. House seat was also on the ballot. There will be no incumbent in that race, as Rep. Harriet Hageman was running for the open Senate seat.

Offices up for election in Albany County include Sheriff, Albany County Commission, County Attorney, Laramie City Council, and several others. You can see a full list of the offices up for election as well as the candidates who have filed here.

Note: under Wyoming law, races for city council are non-partisan. That means that city council candidates don't formally affiliate with a political party.
