A fire burning in the Wyoming Range was caused by at least one person, U.S. Forest Service officials said in a press release Thursday.

The Spring Creek Fire is listed at .5 acres and is burning 2.5 miles east of the La Barge Creek Guard Station in Bridger-Teton National Forest.

Because the fire is human-caused, firefighters will use a "full suppression strategy."

Local firefighters are working the blaze along with a helicopter and two engines. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No trails or roads are currently closed.

Fire danger in the area is currently high.

Forest service officials urge caution with campfires and warming fires. All campfires should be completely extinguished before leaving the area by pouring water, stirring, feeling for heat and repeating until it is certain the fire is out.
