Golfball Size Hail, Flooding Possible In SE Wyoming Monday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about the possibility of large hail, strong winds, and flash flooding in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle on Monday afternoon and evening.
The agency posted this statement on its website on Monday:
Severe thunderstorms are expected to return early this afternoon and continue through the evening across southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. Storms are expected to become severe near noon to 1 pm today and could continue into this evening. Large hail to golfball size, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall are the expected thunderstorm threats. The tornado threat is low but can’t be ruled out over the Nebraska Panhandle. Stay alert through the afternoon and early evening as storms develop and conditions change. Storms will shift out of the area to the south and east by around 10 pm.
