
Monsoon Moisture Poses Heavy Rainfall, Flooding Risk For SE Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office Of The National Weather Service is warning about the possibility of excessive rainfall Thursday in an area that includes Cheyenne and Laramie.

The agency posted the following on its website: A surge of monsoon moisture will lead to heavy rain in any storms that develop on Thursday. As a result, there is a marginal risk for excessive rainfall across most of the area. Slow moving storms combined with heavy rain could lead to flash flooding!

The agency says there is also a risk of severe storms featuring strong winds and hail:There is a marginal risk for severe weather Thursday afternoon and evening. Strong winds and hail will be possible. Heavy rain is also expected in storms. Best timing for the strongest storms will be between 2 PM and 8 PM.
