A 53-year-old Cheyenne woman with a lengthy criminal history is facing more felony charges after allegedly violating her bond conditions and getting caught with methamphetamine.

Traffic Stop

According to a booking sheet, Lisa Rae Bevel was arrested at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, after police, knowing she was wanted, pulled her over in the 2100 block of Snyder Avenue.

Police say Bevel had a warrant out of Laramie County District Court for failure to comply. Judge Catherine R. Rogers signed the warrant on Tuesday, April 3.

K-9 Sniff

Officer Sweet and his K-9 partner Dutch arrived on the scene and the dog reportedly alerted on Bevel's car.

Police say when they searched the car they found a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue inside, and Bevel advised she had more than two prior drug convictions.

Strip Search

Bevel was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center and strip searched and reportedly had an orange pill bottle containing a misdemeanor amount of suspected methamphetamine hidden inside her vagina.

Bevel Charged With 2 Felonies

Bevel was booked on her warrant and subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance - third or subsequent offense, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, up to a $5,000 fine, or both; and taking a controlled substance into jail, a felony punishable by up to three years in prison, up to a $3,000 fine, or both.

Bond Set at $3K Cash

Bevel made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday, April 14, during which her bond was set at $3,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, at 2:30 p.m.

She's scheduled to appear before Rogers for a bond revocation arraignment on Monday, April 28, at 9 a.m.
