City Of Cheyenne Announces Trash Pickup, City Closures For Labor Day
The City Of Cheyenne has announced it's trash pickup schedule and city closures for the upcoming Labor Day Holiday weekend.
For trash pickup, people who normally have their trash picked up on Monday are being asked to have their garbage containers out for pickup by 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 31.
According to a city news release:
The Solid Waste Transfer Station (220 N. College Drive) and Happy Jack Landfill will be closed Sept. 2 and reopen Tuesday, Sept. 3.
The Compost Facility (3714 Windmill Road) and Household Hazardous Waste (220 N. College Drive) will be closed Sept. 2 and 3 and will reopen Wednesday, Sept. 4.
City Offices Close Monday, Some Facilties Will Be Open
For closures, all city offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day. The City Council Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at noon. The Public Service Committee will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at noon.
Other city facilities which will close for Labor Day on Monday include Cheyenne Transit Program Offices, and the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens Grand Conservatory and the Paul Smith Children’s Village.
But the BEAST facility, the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center and city golf courses will be open. The Cheyenne Aquatic Center will close at 5 p.m. Sept. 2. Johnson Pool will be open Aug. 31 through Sept. 2 with Lap Swim from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Recreational Swim from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. according to the release.
