Cheyenne Woman Sentenced For Tax Evasion, Fraud
A 49-year-old Cheyenne resident has been sentenced to three years and one month in federal prison after being convicted of tax evasion.
Deborah Hill has also been ordered to pay $172,270 in restitution after she filed returns which understated her income by more than $180,000 for tax years 2009 through 2012. She also used a MasterCard which had been issued to someone else to receive cash advances and things of value worth more than $1,000, according to IRS Special Agent Bryan Thiel.
In addition to the prison term and restitution, U.S. Judge Alan Johnson has ordered her to serve three years supervised release. Hill pled guilty on January 3, 2014 as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
