City workers continue to clean up broken tree branches a month after a historic snowstorm dumped 14.3 inches of heavy, wet snow on Cheyenne.

Crews had hoped to have the debris cleaned up by tomorrow (Friday), but Mayor Marian Orr says "the process has taken longer than expected."

"Our city crews have been working tirelessly,” said Orr. "I announced the city would collect all the tree branches left in the parking lanes on May 30 (and) the city is committed in doing just that."

There are neighborhoods, mostly in the northeast part of the city, that crews haven't been in yet, but Orr says they "will get to every neighborhood."

Between May 30 and June 14, crews have hauled away 518 dump truck loads of branches from various city neighborhoods.
