Cheyenne Police to Explain New Junk Vehicle Law
A revised ordinance intended to get junk vehicles off Cheyenne's streets is causing some confusion.
In an effort to better educate the public about the new law, the Cheyenne Police Department is hosting a meeting at 6 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday) night.
"CPD Code Enforcement will explain the ordinance as well as how it differs from the previous ordinance," said Officer Kevin Malatesta.
Malatesta says the new ordinance allows for the posting of junk vehicles after seven days. It also outlines how the city disposes of a junk vehicle when it's impounded.
The meeting, which is being held at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center, is free and open to the public.
