Cheyenne Police have released body cam footage of the arrest of Yzail Gauna on Friday night.

Police stopped a vehicle at 11:30 p.m. in which Gauna was riding. They say he at first provided a false identity. When they learned his true identity, police found that he had outstanding warrants for domestic battery and a probation violation.

His aunt, Nadia Gauna, has accused police of brutally attacking her nephew, a 26-year-old Cheyenne man,  and beating him severely.

But police say he at first became verbally combative and then reached into his pants pocket for a knife. When the officer attempted to remove him from the vehicle he became violent pushing the officer and attempting to run away.
