UPDATE: Cheyenne Boy Suffers Broken Leg After Being Hit by Car
UPDATE:
A 12-year-old boy suffered a broken leg Wednesday morning when he was hit by a car while riding his bike in west Cheyenne.
Police spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says it happened at the intersection of W. Pershing Boulevard and Dillon Avenue.
"The child entered the intersection without having the right-of-way and was struck," said Malatesta.
"Fortunately, he was wearing a helmet," added Malatesta. "It would have been much more serious injuries if he had not been."
Malatesta says the driver wasn't cited because "no traffic violation" occurred.
