Cheyenne police are warning Asian business owners to be extra vigilant after two Chinese restaurant owners had their homes burglarized on April 10.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says sometime between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., several people broke into a home in the 1500 block of Trailway Road and stole numerous items.

A home in the 3300 block of Douglas Street was also burglarized sometime between 9 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

"Both of these burglaries involved people who own Chinese restaurants," said Malatesta.  "We think these are connected."

Malatesta says the burglars may have followed the victims from their restaurants to their homes, and is reminding business owners to be aware of their surroundings.

Police have released a photo of one of the burglars and are asking anyone who recognizes the person or anyone with information about the burglaries to contact Det. Harper at (307) 637-6587 or jharper@cheyennepd.org.
