Cheyenne Frontier Days will show off its new multi-purpose building at Frontier Park this Friday.

A public open house will be held from 3 to 6 p.m.

"We're really excited and pleased with how the building came out," said CFD General Chairman Jimmy Dean Siler.  "We're very impressed with Reiman, they continue to always provide us a tremendous product."

CFD officially broke ground on the roughly $7 million building on Aug. 7, 2018.

"It gives us more space for our volunteers to hold meetings (and) an events center that we can use year-round for weddings and conferences," said Siler.

"It helps us fulfill a goal, because our volunteers and a lot of our citizens around here always said, 'You just have Frontier Days for 10 days.  Why don't you try and do some things to help the economy and help us make it more of a year-round event,'" he added.  "This events center does that."

Siler says the new building has already been booked for a handful of weddings, and several businesses have approached them about holding their spring meetings there.
