
Cheyenne Teen Charged With Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Robbery
A 19-year-old from Cheyenne is facing five to 35 years in prison following an alleged cell phone robbery.
Arrest Details
According to a booking sheet, police arrested Jonas Umer Fraley on North College Drive at Dell Range Boulevard at 3:56 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
It's alleged that on or about Thursday, Feb. 12, Fraley stole a person's cell phone, during which he intentionally attempted to inflict serious bodily injury upon them.
Felony Charges
Fraley was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with aggravated assault and battery - causes or attempts to cause serious bodily injury, a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 10 years; and aggravated robbery - intentionally inflicts or attempts to inflict serious bodily injury, a felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than five years nor more than 25 years.
Initial Court Appearance
On Thursday, Feb. 26, Fraley was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charges.
"Has there been an agreement regarding bond," Forwood asked, to which the state said, "There has ... we agree that $5,000 cash or surety would be appropriate."
"Mr. Fraley, I'm going to set your bond at $5,000 cash or surety," said Forwood. "These are your conditions, you must appear at all court proceedings in your case, the next will be a preliminary hearing March 6 at 10:30 a.m. ... No contact with (the victim)."

Out on Bond
Fraley later posted bond.
