The City of Cheyenne has announced several closure's for Cheyenne Frontier Days' Cheyenne Day on Wednesday, July 23..

The following list of closures was posted on the city's Facebook page:

💼 City Offices: City offices will be closed July 23.
♻️ There will be no changes to trash/recycle/yard waste residential collection. Have containers out for pickup by 6 a.m.
🗑️ The Solid Waste Transfer Station, the Compost Facility, and Household Hazardous Waste will be closed Wednesday. The Happy Jack Landfill will remain open.
🚌 Cheyenne Transit Program offices will be closed July 23. Buses will not run.
🌺 The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the Paul Smith Children’s Village will be closed July 23.
🏊‍♂️ The Cheyenne Aquatic Center and Johnson Pool will be open until 5 p.m. Patrons should check with Aquatic Center website (www.cheyenneaquatics.com) for open swim times.
🏐 The BEAST Facility will be closed. Patrons should check the Cheyenne Rec facility page (https://cheyennerec.org/facility-rentals-city-rentals/) for open court times.
⛸️ The Cheyenne Ice and Events Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Patrons should check the Ice and Events Center website (www.cheyenneiceandevents.com) for public skating and other scheduled events.
🏌️ The Airport Golf Course and Kingham Prairie View Golf Course will be open. Patrons should check the course website (https://airportgolfclub.com) for more information.

What Is Cheyenne Day?

Cheyenne Day is traditionally held on Wednesday of Cheyenne Frontier Days week. Cheyenne/Laramie County residents get free gate admission with valid ID.
One change in the traditional Cheyenne Day schedule for CFD this year is that the Thunderbirds Air Force Demonstration team won't be taking flight. The Thunderbirds performance this year has been moved to Saturday, July 26.
