Cheyenne residents and visitors who want to watch a fireworks show on July 4 [Saturday] need to know that they usual location for doing so has changed for this year.

For many years the Cheyenne Fireworks Show has been held at Frontier Park. But this year, the show will be part of the Capital City Celebration.. The show will start at 9:40 p.m..

Meanwhile, Cheyenne Police are reminding people about the rules on fireworks:

FIREWORKS: While fireworks are fun to watch, they can be very dangerous and cause fires. They are also illegal to possess/ignite within the city of Cheyenne. If you're looking to celebrate with a display, head to the Wyoming State Capitol for the July 4 America 250 fireworks show. *Please note: There will not be a fireworks show at Frontier Park this year.
