Cheyenne firefighters put out a vehicle fire in seven minutes on Saturday, according to a  release from Cheyenne Fire Rescue.

Firefighters were called out at 5:42 p.m. Saturday on a report of a vehicle fire in the 300 block of West 10th Street.

They arrived in four minutes, finding a vehicle fire raging in the engine compartment of a car just six feet away from a home. But the 15 firefighters on the scene were able to put out the blaze before it could spread.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
