The Central Wyoming Rodeo ended on Saturday night with the championship short go. Not all of the top 12 contestants in each event were in Casper on Saturday as they elected to compete in a different rodeo, mostly in Colorado Springs. Still, there was plenty of excitement as big checks were up for grabs.

In the bareback, Jacek Frost from Browns Valley, California took top honors with a 172 on 2 to win $3392. Thermopolis native Roedy Farrell was 4th in the average and won  $1244 and Kaycee's Ethan Mazurenko took 6th and won $565

In the saddle bronc, Damien Brennan from Australia who is ranked #1 in the world won he big pot with 167 on 2. He picked up $3283. The bull riding winner was Albuquerque's Scott Knapp with 170 on 2 to earn $3410.

Talon Roseland from Marshalltown, Iowa won the steer wrestling with a time of 12.9 on 3 to take home $3748. Riley Webb from Denton, Texas placed first in the tie-down roping with a time of 18 and 7 on 2. He won $4572. The team roping winners were Tyler Wade of Terrell, Texas, and Wesley Thorp from Throckmorton, Texas with 15 and 6 on 3. They won $3828 each while Kellan and Carson Johnson of Casper placed 10th and won $1355 each.

Finally in barrel racing, Dona Rule from Minco, Oklahoma took 1st in the average with a time of 34.21 on 2. She won the first round and finished 2nd in the short-go on Saturday.
