Cheyenne Police Say ‘No Weapons’ Involved in Motel Disturbance
UPDATE:
Cheyenne police investigating a Thursday afternoon "disturbance" at the Firebird Motel have determined that nothing "physical" happened and "no weapons were involved."
Police say one person was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
UPDATE:
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Sgt. David Janes says officers were called to a "disturbance" at the Firebird Motel around 12:15 p.m.
Janes says four men and a woman reportedly got into an altercation in one of the rooms, but police have been unable to verify whether the men were armed, as originally reported to 911.
"The female is safe," said Janes. "Alta Vista was placed on a secure perimeter, but that's been lifted."
Police are still on scene and are asking drivers to use caution while traveling in the area.
