BREAKING: Cheyenne Man Arrested for Robbing Woman at Gunpoint

A 27-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after allegedly robbing a woman at gunpoint Tuesday night.

Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. at the U.S. Bank at 1437 Prairie Avenue.

"A patron of the bank was making a business deposit when she was confronted by Shawn Duffy who displayed a firearm and demanded money," said Malatesta.

"Officers responded and deployed a K-9 who successfully tracked Duffy to a nearby field," he added.

Duffy was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine and an unrelated Laramie County District Court warrant.
