2016 a ‘Very Good Year’ for Cheyenne Frontier Days
The 120th "Daddy of 'em All" will go down as one of Cheyenne Frontier Days best financial years ever.
According to an annual report released today (Monday), CFD saw a net income of nearly $1.5 million in 2016, up from $1.3 million in 2015.
"We would definitely be in the top five," said Chief Executive Officer Tom Hirsig.
Hirsig says if he had to pick one factor to last year's success it would be the weather.
"The only kind of hiccup we had was the mid-day hail storm that we had, but other than that our weather was just outstanding last year," said Hirsig.
"That really helped us get some good attendance and break the record for the night show at the Florida Georgia Line concert," he added.
Over 259,000 people attended the 2016 celebration, the fourth largest CFD in history.
