1 Hospitalized, 1 Arrested After Stabbing at Cheyenne Motel
A Cheyenne man was sent to the hospital and another arrested after a stabbing at a Cheyenne motel Saturday evening.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says police were called to the Firebird Motel at 1905 E. Lincolnway around 8:30 p.m. after 48-year-old Noah Schultz stabbed 57-year-old Mark Vanwinkle, "an acquaintance of his."
Malatesta says Vanwinkle was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, but he didn't know his status.
Schultz was arrested for domestic battery for an earlier incident involving his girlfriend, aggravated assault and interference with a peace officer. He's currently being held in the Laramie County jail awaiting formal charges.
CORRECTION: According to arrest records, Noah Schultz is 48 years old, not 22 as first reported by police. KGAB regrets the error.
