We're always trying to find other things to do with our time around fall. Some people pick apples, some bake, others hike. But what can be done with a pumpkin?  Today on the Top 5 at 7:45, I'll highlight 5 uses of your pumpkin that you may have not considered doing. Take a look and tells us what you think in the comments section.

  1. Make Pumpkin Serving Bowls - Nothing on your table says it best than with a pumpkin serving bowl. It's not hard to do. Simply place them on a foiled baking sheet. Brush the inside and top with some veggie oil and pop them in the oven for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Walah! You can serve soups in them for your guests.
  2. Make A Pumpkin Seed Dish - People love pumpkin seeds both baked and raw. Either way they are a great and healthy treat.
  3. Make Soup Out Of Pumpkin Guts - That stringy part inside the pumpkin can be used to make some very good pumpkin stock. See how here.
  4. Make A Pumpkin Platter - Cut the top of your pumpkin open and gut it. Then place top soil and your favorite flower or bush inside the pumpkin. It will spice up your yard or curb appeal.
  5. Feed The Wildlife - When you're done with your pumpkin, cut him up into fourths and lay them out in your yard away from the house. Everything from birds, to squirrels to deer can enjoy this treat.
