Fall is a very favorite time of year. There are many fun things that you and your family can do while on a limited budget, here in Cheyenne.

  1. Take In The Scenery - Nothing like a hike on a trail, country drive in the car or a walk through the park. The eye candy of nature which enshrines reds, oranges, yellows and amber are simply breath taking.
  2. Apple Picking - This is a very fun and inexpensive activity and most apple orchards will allow you to do this. Of course you'll want to ask them permission first. To find an orchard in your area, you may go here: pickyourown.org.
  3. Visit A Local Pumpkin Farm - Pumpkin and Fall? Goes without saying. This can be a fun outing for the whole family. Great photo ops too.
  4. A Backyard Campfire - Break out the marshmallows, hot cocoa and warm clothes. Nothing like spending a nice, cool fall night snuggling around the campfire.
  5. Build A Scarecrow - Grab some hay, old clothes, string, needle and sacks to make a scarecrow for the yard. This is a fun project for the whole family. Now all he needs is a brain.

The Top 5 at 7:45 airs weekdays with me, Gary Freeman and is sponsored by First Education Federal Credit Union.
