Wyoming Supreme Court Suspends Cheyenne Attorney For 60 Days
The Wyoming Supreme Court has suspended Cheyenne attorney Gayla K. Austin for 60 days. The suspension takes effect on January 1, 2024.

According to a news release from the Wyoming State Bar Association, Austin's license was suspended because she improperly disclosed confidential client information in court filings and made false statements to the court while litigating a case.
The court action upheld a Board of Professional Responsibility ruling that Austin "had violated Rules 1.6 (client confidentiality) and 3.3 (duty of candor to the court) of the Wyoming Rules of Professional Conduct."
The high court also ordered Austin to pay an administrative fee of $750 and "to reimburse the Wyoming State Bar for $4,316.06 in costs associated with the disciplinary proceeding."
