Wyoming Inmate Dies
An inmate, serving a sentence on a murder charge has died in custody.
The Wyoming Department of Corrections says that Jack Stanley Rude Died on Tuesday at the age of 71, after having been dealing with long-term illness.
Mark Horan, spokesperson for the Department of Corrections says that a routine autopsy will be conducted. "We have a policy with our inmates. We do autopsies whenever we have a death of an inmate. They'll determine the exact cause of death. But, there is certainly no suspicious circumstances or cause for alarm. He had been sick for a long time."
Rude was in the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington, serving a life sentence on a first degree murder charge, for which he was convicted in 1992.
