The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in keeping the county's roads safe after a trucker hauling frac sand northeast of Arcola intentionally dumped a significant amount of their load in the road. 

According to a department Facebook post, the incident occurred Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, near the intersection of County Road 146 and County Road 208.

An Illegal and Dangerous Trend

"We have seen a trend of unscrupulous truck drivers dumping their heavy loads of sand the moment they hear deputies are conducting traffic enforcement in the area," the post reads.

The post goes on to say, "This is not just illegal—it is incredibly dangerous for every driver who travels these roads."

How You Can Help

If you see a vehicle dumping material on the roadway, the LCSO asks that you report it immediately.

"Note the trucking company name, vehicle description, or license plate if it is safe to do so," the post reads.
