Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced five men for firearms, child pornography and illegal alien crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Trevor Samuel Boyd, 25, of Mills for being a felon and unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. Johnson sentenced Boyd to three years, five months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release and ordered him to pay a $400 fine.

This case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Derrick Earl Argue, 24, of Gillette for transportation of child pornography. Skavdahl sentenced Argue to 10 years of imprisonment to be followed by 10 years of supervised release, and ordered him to pay a $100 special assessment and $5,000 to the Justice for Victims Trafficking Act.

This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Federal judges also sentenced three Mexican nationals for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency investigated these cases.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Roel Mendoza-Contreras, 53, of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, to two years of imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release, a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release. He was arrested in Cheyenne.

Freudenthal also sentenced Edgar Lujan-Perez, 24, of Chihuahua, Mexico to time served plus 10 days to allow for deportation proceedings, and a $100 special assessment. He was arrested in Casper.

Johnson sentenced Pedro Jose Rosales-Trujillo, 49, of Bachiniva, Chihuahua, Mexico to three years, one month of imprisonment and a $100 special assessment. He was arrested in Cheyenne.
