A pair of Cheyenne men have been sentenced in federal court for child pornography and drug trafficking charges.

That is according to a new release from the office of the U.S. Attorney for Wyoming, Darin Smith.

Distribution Of Child Pornography

The release says 33-year-old Elvy Charles Stickney was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Kelly Rankin on April 16 to  87 months in prison and 10 years of supervised probation for two counts of distribution of child pornography. Stickney was also ordered to pay victims $42,000 in restitution, according to the release.

The investigation into Stickney started on Aug. 19, 2024 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children got information from the Kik messaging app company that someone in Wyoming had suspected child pornography. The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children [ICAC] task force identified the user as Stickney.

DCI agents got a search warrant for his devices, and found photos and videos depicting sexual abuse of children,

Stickney was indicted on on July 16, 2025, and pleaded guilty on Jan. 9, 2026.

Possession With Intent To Deliver Meth, Fentanyl

The release says 35-year-old Nicholas Rierson of Cheyenne was sentenced to 140 months in prison and four yeas of supervised release for possession with intent to deliver meth and fentanyl

His sentence was handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on April 21 in Cheyenne.

The release says federal Drug Enforcement Administration [DEA]  Task Force Officers found out Rierson's home was a place where drugs were being sold. Law enforcement stopped his vehicle and found 10 grams of fentanyl. While being interviewed, he admitted to selling meth and fentanyl and told investigators they would find more drugs in totes that were hidden under his deck. Task force officers found 462 grams of meth and 109 grams of fentanyl hidden in the totes.

The case was investigated by the Cheyenne Police Department Community Action Team. Rierson was arrested on Dec. 3, 2025 and pleaded guilty on Jan. 9, 2026.
