Winter conditions have forced the closure of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne.

As of 2 p.m., the Wyoming Department of Transportation estimated it would take crews three to five hours to get the 43-mile stretch back open.

Extreme Blow Over Risk

As of 2:21 p.m., I-80 between Rawlins and Laramie, as well as Interstate 25 between Whitaker Road and Wheatland, were closed to all high-profile vehicles under 40,000 gross vehicle weight due to gusting winds.

Drivers are encouraged to call 511 or visit wyoroad.info for the latest road conditions and closures.
