Wyo Chapter Of Public School Options Celebrates ‘Wyo Capitol Day’ Friday Jan 30
Out of the more than 92,000 enrolled students in the Cowboy State, more than 1,000 of them are in virtual schools and hundreds of them are in charter schools. There are many families in Wyoming who are benefiting from, what some consider as, 'non-traditional' public school settings and the number of those students continues to grow every year.
This past week, the United States Senate unanimously declared January 25 - 30, 2015 as National School Choice Week. You might be surprised that they were actually able to unanimously agree son something. Well, they did. Therefore, The Wyoming Chapter of Public School Options will be celebrating their third annual Wyoming Capitol Day on Friday, January 30, 2015. They would like you to come and engage.
The even takes place at the Cheyenne Depot and will kick off with a breakfast at 8 am. Teachers, students and parents from three virtual schools and two charter schools have been invited and students from as far away as Campbell County will attend the event.
