Twenty block parties will be held throughout Cheyenne on July 11, 2024, as the community celebrates Cheyenne Neighborhood Night.

Now in its fifteenth year, the community-building event is designed to bring neighbors, businesses, and police together in partnership against crime in Cheyenne.

"When neighbors are able to meet and connect with one another and the officers that serve them, we are able to work together to prevent crime," said police spokeswoman Alex Farkas.

Meet the Four-Legged Heroes of the Cheyenne Police Department

They may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but make no bones about it, police dogs play a vital role in the fight against crime.

In many situations, they're the first ones to put their lives on the line to protect their human partners, proving that not all heroes wear capes, some wear fur coats.
