Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Cheyenne, SE Wyoming Mountains
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory starting tonight for much of southeast Wyoming, including Cheyenne, the summit, and mountain areas.
As of Friday morning, Laramie was just outside if the area covered by the advisory.
The agency posted this on its website:
Winter Weather Advisories for light to moderate snow have been issued starting this evening for the mountains, and starting early Saturday morning for the lower elevations. Snow will develop and spread northeast Saturday morning with periods of snow continuing Saturday night through Sunday morning. Travel impacts are expected with snow covered roads and reduced visibilities likely.
Here is your first look at the snow expected by the weekend. After a lull in the weather Friday, better chances for accumulating snow resume this weekend. Images above show the general likelihood of reaching the listed snow accumulation totals of 2 inch and 6 inches.
