Wind And Snow Expected In Southeast Wyoming Friday And Saturday
The exact intensity and impact of a cold front that is expected to hit southeast Wyoming late this week is not yet known, but the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is forecasting snow and wind.
The agency says "Big changes are in store for Thursday and Friday, with the potential for another potent system impacting the area."
The agency posted the following on its website:
Mostly sunny and windy Wednesday and Thursday. A system comes through Friday and Saturday bringing very windy conditions, snow, and rain to the area. Wyoming will see mostly snow and Nebraska should see mostly rain. The storm should exit the area Saturday into Sunday.
Here’s a look at the work week forecast! It will be a nice few days to start with above average temperatures expected across the region. Portions of the Nebraska Panhandle could see a return of the 70s! Big changes are in store for Thursday and Friday, with the potential for another potent system impacting the area. We will continue to monitor the system for late week over the next several days. Right now, it looks to be quite breezy with a good chance (40-60%) for widespread snowfall.
