White Christmas, Winter Weather Expected In SE Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says the chances for a white Christmas in southeast Wyoming look pretty good, although how much snow and the severity of the winter weather aren't yet clear,
The agency posted the following five-day forecast on it's website:
The next few days will be similar to what we are currently experiencing with mostly sunny skies and above-normal temperatures. A pattern change comes Saturday when a cold front passes through bringing rain and snow showers to southeast Wyoming, becoming all snow Sunday. Heaviest snow is expected in the mountains. Travel impacts are possible! For the latest forecast, go to weather.gov/cys For road conditions, refer to wyoroad.info (WY), 511.nebraska.gov (NE), and/or dial 511
But as of Wednesday morning, there were still a lot of questions:
A storm system currently off the coast of California could bring some precipitation to the area over the weekend. There is still much uncertainty with this system, including track, potential snowfall amounts, and impacts. We will continue to monitor the forecast in the coming days, so be sure to check back for updates!
