Weather Service: Cheyenne Area Smoke From House Draw Fire

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says most of the smoke being seen in Cheyenne and other areas of southeast Wyoming is coming from a fire near Buffalo, Wyoming.

According to watchduty.org, the House Draw fiire is raging in parts of Campbell, Johnson and Sheridan counties and has forced several evacuations.

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service posted the following on its website:

Areas of smoke this morning across the I-25 corridor east into portions of western Nebraska are leading to poor air quality conditions this morning. If possible, minimize strenuous activity and avoid prolonged exposure to these conditions.
