The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service, has issued a finding of no significant impact for the environmental assessment associated with the Wayne Child Substation project.

Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc.,  a wholesale power supplier to High West Energy, is proposing to build a new electrical substation south of the new Archer Complex currently being built by Laramie County.

This new substation project would provide electrical power to local customers and upgrade the reliability of the existing transmission line system. The new substation would be constructed in two phases, and when complete would occupy 30 acres.
