Laramie County Warns About Fake Events At Archer Complex

Laramie County residents are being warned about phony events that are supposedly happening at the Archer Events Complex and the Laramie County Fairgrounds.

That's according to a post on the Laramie County Government Facebook page.

The scammers are apparently selling tickets online to the phony events.

County Commissioner Says It's Happening Across The Country

County Commissioner Linda Heath told Townsquare Media on Tuesday morning: ''We've had people buy tickets online these after the event, contact their credit card company and deny the charges too. That is happening nationwide at events. Credit card companies are beginning to investigate on their end credit card purchase denials."
