Cold Front, Possible Snow For SE Wyoming Next Week
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says the next few days should feature beautiful weather for southeast Wyoming, including a beautiful day on Columbus Day.
But a cold front midweek will bring cold rain showers and some snow at higher elevations. The specific forecasts for Cheyenne and Laramie say snow is possible towards the end of the workweek in both communities.
The agency posted the following on its website:
Very nice weather for Columbus Day Monday with sunny skies and warming temperatures. This nice weather will continue into Tuesday. Weather begins to change Wednesday, as a cold front sags into the area from the north. Look for increasing chances for showers and isolated thunderstorms Wednesday as this takes place. May even see snow above 9000 feet in our western mountains that could begin to impact hunters and outdoor enthusiasts in the Snowy and Sierra Madre Ranges. Looks pretty good for snow along and west of the Laramie Range Thursday. Communities east of the Laramie Range likely to see a cold rain most of the day Thursday. Things begin to dry out Friday as the weather system exits our area from west to east. Stay tuned to later updates in the forecast as the weather can change rapidly this time of year!
The agency says both Cheyenne and Laramie could see snow towards the end of the week:
