Two Major Weather Systems Could Hit SE Wyoming Next Week
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says two potentially impactful weather systems could hit southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle next week.
The agency posted the following on it's website Friday night:
Heads up for next week, we have two potentially impactful weather systems moving through southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. First begins Monday night with rain showers across much of the area, turning to snow above 6000 feet Tuesday. Moderate to heavy snow possible for locations above 6000 feet Tuesday, before system moves southeast Wednesday morning. Second system moves towards us from the north Thursday, bringing widespread light to moderate snow to most locations above 6000 feet by Thursday afternoon. Thursday evening could see snowfall all the way down into the Panhandle elevations. It's still too early to be giving out snow totals and the track of these two storm systems could change. Plan on winter weather though for many locations. Stay tuned as we get closer to these events, we'll keep you updated!
