Today, (Sunday, May 5) looks like another beautiful spring day in southeast Wyoming, but thundershowers and even some snow are possible over the next few days, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.

The service posted this statement on its website on Saturday night:

"Two more mild days before the weather pattern becomes much more unsettled as we head into the middle part of next week. A few light showers and even a rumble of thunder are possible Sunday afternoon with high temperatures around 70 degrees. The forecast will trend wetter and cooler by Monday with increasing coverage of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. A few strong thunderstorms cannot be ruled out Monday afternoon through Monday night. Some snowfall is possible by Wednesday and Thursday as a strong cold front moves southward across the area. Stay tuned."
