It was a classic battle on Friday night as two teams ranked in the top five in 4A squared off as Cheyenne East played host to Thunder Basin. Both teams exchanged touchdown in the 1st quarter with East quarterback Graedyn Buell throwing 2 TD passes in the first half and 2 more in the 3rd quarter. Chance Aumiller caught 2 of them and 103 yards on the night. Thunder Basin got a nice game from quarterback Mason Hamilton who threw for 274 yards and receiver Blaine Allen who caught 141 yards worth. One hero for the Bolts was Andre Felton who had a pick-six in the 4th quarter and then caught a 32 yard TD pass to cut Cheyenne East's lead to 30-28. With 1:17 to go, Thunder Basin kicker Garner Gauthier earned hero status with a 41-yard field goal to give the Bolts the lead for good. Thunder Basin won it 31-30 in what was the biggest win in the history of the program. Here are some of the sights and sound of the game. Enjoy.
