A 21-year-old man from Texas is facing up to a quarter of a century behind bars for kidnapping and aggravated assault, as well as other charges.

According to a post on the Cheyenne Police Department Facebook page, Cash Henderson of Cypress, Texas, has been sentenced to 20-25 years in prison for kidnapping, aggravated assault, burglary, and solicitation to commit a felony.

Police say In November 2025, officers were called to a report of a physical disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of East 20th Street. As they investigated, police found out that a woman was assaulted by her former partner, later identified as Cash Henderson.

Investigators say the woman had tried to break things off with Henderson, but he wouldn't leave her alone, often traveling back to Cheyenne from Texas. On Nov. 1, 2025, he broke into her home armed with a knife and wearing a face covering and gloves. He threatened to kill the woman and wouldn't let her leave.

Sister With An Electric Baton Comes To The Rescue

The woman called her sister for help, and the sister showed up armed with an electric baton.

She kept Henderson there until police showed up.

Henderson was then arrested and booked into the Laramie County Jail.
