In a world where taxes seem to climb ever higher, Wyoming stands out for a very good reason.

The IRS will be providing formal guidance in the coming days.

Unlike a personal income tax bill proposed in the legislature in 2020, the latest proposal would apply to all taxpayers, not only those making over $200,000 per year.

The Sunday report said he paid $750 in taxes to the federal government the year he was elected, 2016, and $750 again his first year in office.

Wyoming is currently one of only 7 states with no state income tax.

The administration had announced earlier in the week that it would delay the payments.

Friday was the deadline for bills to be introduced into the 2020 Wyoming Legislature.

The 2020 budget session fo the Wyoming Legislature will convene on Feb. 10.

While the bill could still theoretically be considered, Wednesday is the deadline for bills to be considered in committee and the corporations committee is not slated to meet today.

The bill has extensive bipartisan support among the leadership of both houses of the Wyoming Legislature.
