Comea Shelter

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about dangerous wind chills of between -55 and -70 starting later today and running through Thursday.

The post said it's expected to take about three weeks to get the facility ready to reopen.

Comea Executive Director Robin Bocanegra said Monday that the post is not intended to speak to any particular policy.

Johnson says people can donate any kind of cereal and can drop it off personally or have it shipped.

It's an evening of music, auctions, tequila tasting, and a taco buffet. All proceeds benefit those in Laramie Country who are experiencing homelessness.

The shelter says it currently is housing three families headed by single dads.

The D.A. says giving homeless people money encourages them to buy drugs and alcohol.

Cheyenne Police say it's better to donate money to Charities such as the Comea Shelter than to give homeless people money.

The event is Saturday morning at the Coffee Depot.

It's always great when we, as a community, can get together and help raise money to help those in need, and have fun doing it. COMEA is doing just that this week.
