Strong Winds, Thunderstorms Likely In SE Wyoming Friday/Saturday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says southeast Wyoming residents can expect showers, thunderstorms, and possibly some strong winds to start the upcoming weekend.
That should be followed by warmer and calmer weather on Sunday.
The agency posted the following on its website:
''Unsettled weather will continue into the early part of the weekend. It will feel like fall on the first official day of astronomical fall (Saturday) as a strong storm system passes just to our north. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday, mainly along and north of the North Platte River. These may continue into Saturday for these areas, while those further south should be drier. Strong winds are increasingly likely for much of the area, developing late Friday and continuing through the day on Saturday. Expect calmer conditions as we clear out and begin to warm back up on Sunday.''
