SE Wyoming Facing Record Heat, Red Flag Warnings
The calendar might say October, but the Southeast Wyoming weather forecast is more typical of June or even July.
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service posted the following on its website:
4PM 10/4 - Summer-like warmth will return to the area tomorrow, pushing high temperatues up to between the upper 70s and lower 90s! Several daily record high temperatures are forecast to be broken, and a few locations will have a chance to match October monthly records. Due to the warm and dry conditions, fire danger will be elevated to critical across the area.

Red Flag Warning has been issued for portions of southeast Wyoming from 12PM until 6PM Monday. Unseasonably warm temperatures, low humidity, and breezy conditions will be favorable for the rapid spread of wildfire. Don't be the spark!
